Disney Channel and 9 Story Entertainment are filming the Disney Channel Original Movie "Harriet The Spy" in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

“Harriet the Spy” was made into a movie back in 1996 with Michele Trachtenberg playing Harriet, and is based on the classic kids book series by Louise Fitzhugh. The extras casting will continue throughout production.

Story:

Disney Channel auditions dancers and actors for new series "Dance Dance Chicago"

Disney Channel casting has announced that auditions have just begun for a series that tells a contemporary tale of two kids working as back-up dancers on an “American Bandstand” type show. Comedy veteran Chris Thompson, creator of “The Naked Truth,” “Action” and “Ladies Man” and co-creator of “Bosom Buddies,” is writing and executive producing. The production company is It's a Laugh Productions, who brought you the Disney Channel hit shows Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, Jonas, Sonny With a Chance, and the new series I'm in the Band.

Disney Channel Auditions are taking place for the following series regulars:

Cece Jones: Female, early teens. A Scrappy indie kid. Has problems with authority. Confrontational. A leader type. A little insecure with her intelligence. A good dancer.

Michelle "Mickey" Blue: Female, early teens. Cece's best friend. I tad insecure about her looks, slightly overweight. Hard worked, overachiever, and a little boy crazy. Wears her heart on her sleeve. A good dancer.
